Methodology

What the numbers and labels mean

Availability checks

OutYet polls official provider surfaces. HTTP 200 is available, 403 or 404 is unavailable, and rate limits or server failures are ambiguous. Ambiguous responses do not change state. A positive result must repeat after ten seconds.

Benchmark snapshots

Snapshots mirror a source at a specific date. Current cards use the newest reading for each source and metric, while the history remains stored. Scores from model vendors carry a vendor-reported label and are not substituted for independent results.

Reporting

Story packages separate verified facts, unresolved claims, and the practical effect for model users. Source links remain visible even when a feed card points to an OutYet story.

Automation boundaries

Local automation may collect candidates and submit allowlisted editorial or benchmark mutations. It cannot run arbitrary dashboard commands, set release state, or trigger release notifications.
