OpenAI says the GPT-5.6 family began a global rollout on July 9 across ChatGPT, Codex, and the OpenAI API. It identifies Sol as the flagship tier, Terra as a lower-cost tier, and Luna as its fastest and most affordable tier. The rollout is gradual, so access may vary by account and plan during the initial availability window.

AWS said on July 13 that GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna are generally available through Amazon Bedrock. Sol is listed for US East (N. Virginia) and US East (Ohio), while Terra and Luna are also listed for US West (Oregon), giving AWS customers a separate deployment route with region-specific availability.
